Function:
Estradiol benzoate is mainly used to supplement estrogen deficiency, such as atrophic vaginitis, vaginal dryness, female gonadal dysfunction, vulvar dryness, menopausal vasomotor symptoms, ovariectomy, primary ovarian failure, etc. Amenorrhea, menopausal syndrome, withdrawal of milk and prostate cancer, etc.
Application:
Estradiol benzoate is an estrogenic drug. The same effect as estradiol, can make endometrial hyperplasia, enhance contraction of uterine smooth muscle, promote breast growth and proliferation: large doses of prolactin inhibition, anti-androgen effect, and increase calcium deposition in bone. This product is mainly metabolized in the liver, which is decomposed into estradiol, and partially binds to sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). The unconjugated free part binds to the target tissue and estrogen receptor, which produces estrogenic effect through transcription and protein synthesis. In the liver or kidney, estrogen binds to glucuronic acid or sulfuric acid and becomes a water-soluble salt which is quickly discharged from the kidney.
